Juice Mixologist

By Lance

Let's go on a journey. A Juice Journey! The practice of Juicing dates back to biblical times and beyond. Did you know the word juice is actually derived from the Old Greek word jus, and is primarily defined as “the liquid part of a fruit or vegetable”? Exciting, isn’t it?! Other definitions of juice include, “a liquid in or from an animal; as gastric juice, meat juice,” and my personal favorite - “the essence of everything.” One could conclude all these definitions help explain why, in ancient Greece, a common medical teaching was “let the juice be your medicine”. In fact, my favorite Greek friend Socrates was quoted, “Juicing my fruit!” when asked about his favorite pastime. The use of juices for medicinal and pleasure purposes even predates written history, as juice scrawling in caves have been found in ancient cultures throughout the world and universe.

Let’s share a piece of history!
